Sensory Adventure Christmas Party!!!!

December 10, 2017

WOW!! What a day! I cannot believe the Christmas Party is over. Full of lovely children all having a great time with our sensory stations! We had:

Edible snowflake shaped Fajita painting with edible paints, edible snow, edible soft snowflakes!

Marshmallow snowman building with bubblegum icing, currents for eyes and buttons and icing sugar for snow scene!

Edible handmade playdough in lots of blues and white to create snowflakes!

Ceramic bauble painting to make a keepsake to take home! Some cute hands and feet were printed!!

Slime and floam table! Its our very own recipe of non toxic slime and floam and it is super stretchy! Children LOVE IT!

Non-toxic magic snow with scoops and rakes. The same texture as real snow without the chilly fingers!

Scented pine cones and dried winter woods to smell and explore!

Stick the red nose on rudolph!

Here are some photos of the stations!!

We had 50 minutes of pure play with all the messy play stations and had such fun!!

Once we had finished we made our way into the North Pole Lunch Hall!

Lunch was prepared by our elves and given out in cute little elf boxes! We had sandwiches, crisps, pizza, sausage rolls, yogurts, chocolate and juice! All places had a mini cracker, chocolate coin and candy cane favours! Our under 1s were given a Ellas Kitchen Christmas Dinner Pouch with dessert.

At the end of Lunch our main hall had been cleared and rearranged for story time. Our elves planned a story with chocolate or strawberry milk. BUT Mrs Claus made a visit all the way from the North Pole with gifts from Father Christmas as he was too busy to leave! Mrs Claus bought homemade shortbread biscuits and read us a lovely story "Santas Sleigh Comes to Crawley!" All the children were amazing and sat so still listening!

Then, our elves informed us they had a job for all the children! A very special job. All the children there were now official key holders!

The elves gave each child a key to leave out the night before Christmas. Father Christmas has special keys for all homes without chimneys. Rudolph and the other reindeers were getting so tired having to fly back to the North Pole every time Father Christmas forgot a key! So, if each child left one out then this will save the reindeers lots of trips back! More time to eat carrots of course!

Here is a photo of the presents and keys given. Each child received a Christmas story book as a present.

Mrs Claus had photos taken with all the children who wanted one and the children really loved it!

We decided on Mrs Claus instead of Father Christmas because we understand that lots of children find Grottos really difficult. The long waiting amd queues, anticipation, darkness of the Grottos and being nervous of Father Christmas himself. Mrs Claus was immediately available to chat to all children, handed out biscuits she had made herself and read a story allowing the children to relax.

We felt the whole party was a lot of fun and I want to thank everyone who came along to our very first year!

I hope to see many of you in the new year at classes and remember, we do party packages too for birthdays!

We sell our slimes, floams and edible paints on our online shop. Please go on our wensite to order.

Our last class of the year is this coming Tuesday 10am till 11am. Book online or pay on arrival. Cash or card accepted. 07794189336
